Wednesday December 12
Scripture: Psalm 126, Isaiah 35:3-7, Luke 7:18-30
Questions/Thoughts: How can we be an encouragement to others for whom this time of year is not a time of joy? How did Jesus answer when people wanted to know if He was indeed the Messiah they were waiting for? In what ways will Jesus’ return heal and strengthen believers?
Prayer:
Out of the embrace of mercy and righteousness,
you have brought forth joy and dignity for your people,
O Holy One of Israel.
Remember now your ancient promise:
make straight the paths that lead to you,
and smooth the rough ways,
that in our day
we might bring forth your compassion
for all humanity. Amen.
you have brought forth joy and dignity for your people,
O Holy One of Israel.
Remember now your ancient promise:
make straight the paths that lead to you,
and smooth the rough ways,
that in our day
we might bring forth your compassion
for all humanity. Amen.
