Scripture: Luke 1:68-79, Malachi 4:1-6, Luke 9:1-6

Questions/Thoughts: What are some things that stuck out to you this week in the Luke 1 passage? What is new? What is consistent? How is the day of the Lord’s return both great and dreadful?

Prayer:

Born thy people to deliver,

Born a child, and yet a king,

Born to reign in us forever -- 

Now thy gracious kingdom bring.

By thine own eternal Spirit

Rule in all our hearts alone;

By thine all sufficient merit

Raise us to thy glorious throne.
